First time in India Green Society Forum under the Banner of Socially Active Youth in Action (SAYA) in collaboration with Solid Waste Management Department of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation organised an unique Musical Event ‘Junk Music’ forming a new Band – The Revolution Band. The music was played on the Garbage Bins by children, youths, women and senior citizens.
The event was a part of Navi Mumbai Mayor Mini Marathon held in the month of January 2016 at Palm Beach Road, Navi Mumbai around 10,000 athletes participated in the event

Junk Music turned into a center of attraction for all the athletes and the visitors. It stole the heart of navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Mayor Sudhakar Sonawane, Standing Committee Chairman Netra Shirke, Director of ETC Department Varsha Bhagat, Director of Solid Waste Management Dr. Babasaheb Rajale, athlete children, youth, women and senior citizens. All reached to bang on the Garbage bin used as an alternative to normal musical drum and shake the water bottles to give a music.

This was the one of the experiment done by the Forum to promote 4Rs and spread the message of  newly invented term Retain in the field of Waste management
This event too received applaud from across the Government Bodies Staff, Political Leaders and the Residents of Navi Mumbai, more than 20 news papers covered the news.
